Extra Information

Disclaimer: In order to use PSSR2 in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you must activate the 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' toggle in the PS5 system settings. As SWJ isn't whitelisted by Sony and therefore still uses PSSR1 by default, this page's analysis still displays PSSR1 metrics. Fortunately, Digital Foundry reviewed SWJ with PSSR2 toggled on and confirm it fixes the issues mentioned below with a significantly more stable, sharper image and no more PSSR1 film grain-like noise - especially foliage, though there's some new dot patterns. RT reflections can also look overly sharp in motion, but PSSR2 is still recommended for SWJ even with a couple of new small issues.

Pro now uses the latest PSSR1 version. While far less noisy/unstable/shimmery than the original, objectively ugly/pulsing implementation seen during Pro's launch, these issues still remain and look worse than base PS5's FSR. Especially with foliage and RT reflections (check disclaimer to easily improve these PSSR1 issues with PSSR2). PSSR1 does beat FSR in motion clarity though, though looks softer in stills (again, fixed with PSSR2). Finally, Pro performance mode also brings back RT that's not in the base PS5 version, but the implementation is still worse than either PS5's quality mode.
