Both base PS5 and Pro have a 60fps mode than renders at native 4K and a 120fps mode that renders at upscaled 4K. While the internal resolution for Pro's 120fps is slightly higher, in practice, base PS5's 120fps mode still looks very 4K-like when looking at normal distances. You'll only see the most minute of differences when directly comparing 2 modes or staring at an edge of a triangle gem from a inch away. The locked 120fps mode is therefore the way to go regardless of PS5 console.
