Base PS5 has the same 2 modes, but they only upscale to 1440p compared to Pro's 4K output. In quality mode, base PS5's 831p-960p DRS is below even Pro's lowest 1189p DRS bounds. Pro quality mode graphics settings are also higher than base PS5 quality mode. However, when unlocked, base PS5 has a higher average framerate that primarily stays within the VRR window, whereas Pro doesn't.
In performance mode, base PS5 falls to 720p for much of the time, which is far below Pro's 1008p DRS floor. Pro also applies fewer cuts to its graphical settings (shadows/lighting etc) in its performance mode (Lumen reflections are even better than base PS5 quality mode). Fortunately, both maintain a solid 60fps in their performance modes, though with no option to go higher.
