While performance mode's internal res is lower, it still looks very 4K-like due to PSSR2, even in troublesome areas like foliage and hair. Base PS5 has the same 2 modes with similar framerate performance, but Pro enhances environmental detail, lighting, outfit materials, and long-distance rendering. Pro's PSSR2 also resolves a sharper, cleaner and more stable image. These PSSR2 upgrades are particularly noticeable in large areas and combat, although both base PS5 modes still have good IQ.
