Extra Information

Disclaimer: All tech info is based on Digital Foundry's analysis of base PS5 gameplay taken from the initial trailers and Netflix showcase, which provides a solid baseline for potential Pro enhancements.

GTA 6 renders at native 1440p with no upscaling. It uses diffuse RTGI for direct/indirect lighting and RT reflections for both rough/opaque surfaces, though SSR is still sometimes used in combination. RT reflections on transparent surfaces (glass) are top-tier and while there's no RT shadows, they still look great, with accurate diffuse. While there's telltale signs of RT noise and a relatively soft image due to the 1440p res, DF believes PSSR2 on Pro could greatly alleviate these issues.

The most impressive aspect is the accurate and natural hair/skin rendering, including body hair. Unfortunately, DF believe a 60fps mode is unrealistic even on Pro, and even 40fps is unlikely due to the overall great RT implementation (aside from the noise primarily seen on some cars) that drastically transform the game's visuals, as well as the unmatched open-world simulation.
