Quality mode is noticeably sharper, more stable, and cleaner than performance mode, which can look very soft/non-4K like. Quality mode also locks to 60fps in all modes, whereas performance mode can sometimes dip to around 100fps in matches where everyone is in mechs. Base PS5 has the same 2 modes with the same framerate targets. However, its performance mode has more intense frame drops that occur more often in all-mech matches, and its quality mode now also drops frames here. Base PS5 modes also have lower internal resolutions than their Pro equivalent, though base PS5 quality mode is still sharper than Pro performance mode.
