Disclaimer: As CFB 26 isn't whitelisted by Sony, it uses PSSR1 by default, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. While PSSR2 hasn't been tested with CFB 26 yet, Mark Cerny (PS5 architect) said Sony's broader testing found no issues in most titles. Only a few suffered from instability in sub-pixel light sources, with 99%+ of the game still improved. Community PSSR2 testing supports this, where at the very least, games are more stable, sharper, and remove PSSR1's film grain-like noise. Therefore, enable PSSR2 by activating 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' in PS5 system settings, and only revert back if there are major issues.
CFB 26 on Pro provides the same upgrades over base PS5 that CFB 25 had. Pro removes the resolution, performance and visual quality modes on base PS5 for just one mode. Pro's PSSR renders a sharper image than even base PS5's resolution mode and there's now 3D grass in gameplay, on more zoomed in cameras. However, PSSR also causes assets like crowd handrails to be more unstable. Pro's cutscenes/instant replays are now 60fps like in base PS5's performance mode and gameplay is a locked 60fps. Finally, the GIBS RT implementation seems unchanged.
