Pro performance mode's dynamic resolution scaling doesn't dip very far from 4K in order to maintain 120fps. It's near-impossible to tell a difference from normal viewing distances unless looking at the modes side-by-side. Base PS5 has the same modes, however its performance mode looks noticeably blurrier/1440p-like and its quality mode averages around 10-15fps less (lots of time at 65-75fps and with possible short dips into the mid 50s during effects-heavy crashes).
