Disclaimer: As Alien: Rogue Incursion isn't whitelisted by Sony, it uses PSSR1 by default, so this page still displays PSSR1 metrics. While PSSR2 hasn't been tested with ARI yet, Mark Cerny (PS5 architect) said Sony's broader testing found no issues in most titles. Only a few suffered from instability in sub-pixel light sources, with 99%+ of the game still improved. Community PSSR2 testing supports this, where at the very least, games are more stable, sharper, and remove PSSR1's film grain-like noise. Therefore, enable PSSR2 by activating 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' in PS5 system settings, and only revert back if there are major issues.

Both base PS5 and Pro run at 60fps and upscale to 4K. Pro however uses PSSR to upscale, whereas base PS5 (likely) uses TSR as it's a UE5 game. While the internal resolution before upscaling is unknown, the game is still very sharp on Pro which suggests that it's at least 1080p. Pro also has greater lighting/volumetric fog fidelity and more realistic reflections/surfacing.
